Khamis Ghannam is a civil engineer with a strong background in structural engineering, combining international academic training with hands-on field and full structural design experience in the United States. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Al-Azhar University in 2015, graduating with an excellent rating and a concentration in project management.

Khamis has successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and is currently certified as an Engineer Intern (EI). He is actively preparing for the Professional Engineer (PE) exam as part of his ongoing commitment to achieving full licensure in the United States.

At Takla Engineering, Khamis is involved in both field and design work, with a strong focus on full structural design for residential and light commercial projects. His responsibilities include performing field inspections, evaluating structural conditions, and developing complete, code-compliant structural designs and repair solutions. He regularly prepares structural calculations, framing layouts, and construction details in accordance with applicable U.S. codes and engineering standards.

Khamis has extensive experience designing structural elements such as decks, porches, additions, and modifications to existing structures, and is increasingly involved in the design of full residential systems and custom construction projects. His work emphasizes practical, buildable solutions that align with real-world construction practices.

Prior to his work in the United States, Khamis developed strong analytical and modeling skills using engineering software including ETABS, SAP2000, Autodesk Revit, and Robot Structural Analysis. He is highly adaptable and capable of quickly mastering new tools and design requirements.

Khamis works under the guidance of licensed professional engineers, where he continues to refine his engineering judgment and expand his expertise. He is recognized for his attention to detail, efficiency in problem-solving, and ability to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

In addition to his engineering background, Khamis has practical experience in web development and programming, with a strong focus on PHP-based systems. He has developed custom web solutions, including WordPress plugins and dynamic platforms, aimed at improving workflow efficiency and user experience.

Khamis is also actively involved in business development and process optimization. He has experience in analyzing workflows, automating operational tasks, and implementing technical solutions to improve productivity and overall company performance. His multidisciplinary skill set allows him to bridge the gap between engineering, technology, and business operations.
